2018 was a monumental year for the MotoDoffo brand. In addition to the three red wine blends that were released (and subsequently sold out!), MotoDoffo was represented at motorcycle events across Southern California. Our core mission is to make exceptional wines and share them with our wine club members, and so it is also our duty to bridge the gap between wine and motorcycles and introduce more riders to the wine world.
Each year Doffo Winery and MotoDoffo host fundraiser events to benefit charitable organizations. We were excited to welcome back the Kurt Caselli Foundation for their 5th annual fundraiser event, and we also hosted the 1st annual FAST Ride to help fight human trafficking. We also lent our support to other organizations by attending their events, including the OG Moto Show, the Friends of Steve McQueen Car and Motorcycle Show, the Californian, and most recently the Moto Beach Classic. It is always refreshing to meet fellow riders and to discover how many of them have an appreciation for wine.
We also hosted watch parties for each round of the 2018 MotoGP season. Doffo Winery quickly became known as the place to be on race Sundays as we opened up the MotoBarrel Room and replayed the main event on the big screen. We hope you’ll join us in 2019 to watch the races!
As much as we love throwing events and attending events, we Doffos spend a lot of time daydreaming about being at the track! That’s why several times each year we head out to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway with our friends at Superbike Corsa for a track day, so we can put our riding skills and our machines to the test. Our next track day is in March, so check our website for more details if you’d like to join us.
We inherited our love of motorcycles from our dad, Marcelo Doffo. When he’s not busy at the winery or restoring vintage motorcycles, he can often be found participating in events like the NorCal TT and the Giro di California. These multi-day rides are usually centered around vintage bikes and draw riders from across the country. Marcelo rode his stunning Vincent on the NorCal TT and even received an award! The Giro di California called for pre-1958 Italian bikes, so Marcelo chose his immaculate 1957 Ducati 175 Sport. Not a bad way to spend a few days riding around California!
