On June 14, 2021 we had the immense honor of hosting Chris White, the artist behind the amazing artwork featured on this year’s line of MotoDoffo wines. In addition to tasting two MotoDoffo blends on the episode, Damian and Samantha Doffo chatted with Chris about his artistic process, the inspiration behind his unique style, and the role played by both wine and art in turning moments into memories.
Growing up in Southern California, it’s cool to see so many different pieces of the SoCal lifestyle come together for one event: surfing, motorcycles, art, punk rock. This year Huntington State Beach will be the destination for tens of thousands of moto, surf and punk rock fans alike. As a family-run winery that is also passionate about motorcycles, we love to see different groups of people come together to bond over common interests. Needless to say we’re very excited to see the thrilling hooligan races on a custom-built track on the beach, check out the lifestyle vendors and art show, and hear live performances from some of the biggest names in punk rock.
When whisperings about the 2018 event started to make the rounds, we quickly contacted the Moto Classic Events crew to sign up as a vendor and sponsor. Come find us at the event to see our latest MotoDoffo gear and apparel! You might also catch a glimpse of the label artwork for next year’s Super Tinto wine, which is set to be released in January 2019. The original artwork commissioned from the incredible motorsports artist Makoto Endo will be on display at the art show, right next to the motorcycle itself: a 1947 Gilera Saturno that is part of the MotoDoffo Collection.
