This past weekend marked a milestone for all of us here at Doffo Winery. Over the past couple of years, MotoDoffo has become much more than just a vintage motorcycle collection. MotoDoffo has evolved into its own brand, complete with wine, apparel and events! And we couldn’t be happier to bring together out two great passions of winemaking and motorcycles together under one name.
On Saturday, March 18th we invited wine club members, our followers and motorcyclists from around southern California out to the winery for our MotoDoffo Launch Party. In addition to welcoming a huge crowd to celebrate the MotoGP season opener from Qatar, we officially introduced our 2015 MotoDoffo Super Tinto to the world!
Motorcycles are commonly found in the parking lot, but this day brought out some awesome bikes — especially a few nice Ducatis and Aprilias!
The crowd anxiously awaited the kick off of what we all hope will be a fun and exciting 2018 MotoGP season! VIP tickets allowed a limited number of people to watch the race inside our newly redesigned MotoDoffo Barrel Room. Can you think of a cooler setting to watch a MotoGP race?
Outside on the patio, more fans gathered around the big screen to watch what turned out to be one of the most exciting races in recent memory!
The barrel room absolutely erupted as Marquez attempted a daring pass on Dovizioso in the final turn, and we were beyond stoked to see our buddy Dovi pull out the win! Forza Ducati!
The reception of the MotoDoffo Super Tinto was fantastic as well! Attendees enjoyed sipping their wine with some lunch fired up by Red Oven Pizza, and perused the bikes on display inside the MotoDoffo Barrel Room.
We welcomed some special guests to the festivities as well. Robert Carter is a world renowned motorsports artist, originally from England and now residing up north in Chico, CA. Robert was kind enough to join us for this event as we fawned over his amazing original artwork that is now featured on every bottle of Super Tinto! Delicious on the inside, awesome on the outside! Robert will be creating two more works of art for the next two bottles of MotoDoffo wine, due out later this year.
Supercross champ Grant Langston stopped by to see what was going on, and we took the opportunity to indoctrinate him into the MotoDoffo lifestyle with some wine and apparel! Grant is now permanently a part of the MotoDoffo Barrel Room after signing the cask!
