Now that’s how you make an entrance! On November 18th, nineteen of our most unique bikes made their debut at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach. As luck would have it, the Moto Doffo Collection was on display right next to the Ducati exhibit, giving on lookers a chance to see the evolution of these incredible machines. After a successful opening day for the press and media, the show opened to the public at 3 p.m and despite the rain, the crowds poured in!
Over the course of the weekend hundreds of attendees, both young and old, stopped to enjoy our beautiful collection. Some of the bikes on display were rare pieces including the 1967 Italjet Sidecar Racer 50cc and the 1959 Ducati 175 Formula 3.
Marcelo, Damian and Samantha Doffo were all in attendance to help inform people about the bikes, and also invite them to visit Doffo Winery to see the rest of the collection.
This event was also an opportunity for us to meet a variety of people in the industry who share our love of these incredible machines. We were fortunate enough to meet the CEO of Ducati, Jason Chinnock! It was an honor to talk with him and show him our collection. We also ran into a lot of our Doffo Winery fans, who came to show their support at the show. We showed our appreciation by giving away Moto Doffo t-shirts to lucky winners.
Overall, the show was a great success and the Moto Doffo Collection was well received. One of the highlights of the show, was having an article published in the Los Angeles Times about our attendance. Writer Charles Fleming did an incredible job on his coverage of the winery and our collection with his piece, Motorcycles and Merlot Mix at Long Beach Bike Show.
We had a fantastic time at the show and we hope to be invited back next year, to share our collection with a whole new crowd. Ciao!
