On Sunday, April 22 we welcomed MotoGP fans back to Doffo Winery for the third round of the 2018 season, live from Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX. This race marked another MotoDoffo milestone as we gave attendees a sneak peak tasting of our yet-to-be-released MotoDoffo Gran Tinto wine!
The Gran Tinto is the second MotoDoffo wine to be released this year, and features a unique blend of 85% Zinfandel and 15% Petite Sirah. Much like the Super Tinto, attendees were crazy about it! This limited run wine was produced in relatively small quantities, and our MotoDoffo Wine Club members will get it first as part of the inaugural wine club shipment in May. If the Super Tinto is any indication, the Gran Tinto will not be on shelves for very long, so be on the lookout in the next couple weeks and get yours online or in the Tasting Room!
The Gran Tinto once again features beautiful artwork from Robert Carter, who hand painted this rendition of Marcelo and Damian racing side by side. Speaking of which, the MotoGP race was the real reason we were all gathered together.
The first two races were about as entertaining as you could hope for, but Marquez proved that he owns the Circuit of the Americas by winning handily. Three races and three different winners so far this season — what’s in store for the next round? We’ll find out on Sunday, May 6th at our Spanish GP watch party.
