Takin it to the Corkscrew

We were very fortunate to have been able to go racing with AHRMA (American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association) at their 2nd Annual Event at the famed Laguna Seca Raceway. As a lifelong motorsports fan, racing at Laguna Seca is a very special treat and racing with our whole clan made it even more special.

Coming into the race Damian was leading a few class championships and in the hunt for a top 3 in a few other classes. This race brings the fastest of the fast to the event and the grids for our races held over 30 bikes! Saturday’s races went flawlessly, and Damian managed to get on the podium in 3 of his 5 races.

Marcelo finished inside the Top 5 in the CB160 exhibition race that included a “LeMans Start,” in which racers push start their motorcycles at the beginning of the race. Samantha and María both had great races and were battling within their group of racers on the track. Each of them improved their lap times from Friday practice and ended the day with all smiles.

As the Laguna Seca weekend ended, so did this year’s AHRMA Championships for the West Coast, known as the Pacific Crown. Damian wrapped up Championships in both GP250 and Sound Of Singles classes and was runner up in 3 other classes! Marcelo finished 4th in the Pacific Crown Championship in both CB160 and GP200 championships! We are excited to continue developing our on-track skills as a family this off-season in preparation for an even better 2022!
